Oh, Smallville

I haven't had a TV for two years, so I've gotten kind of behind on a bunch of TV fandoms. But that's ok - fandom operates at least partly indepently of canon anyway, so things tic along.

Yet and still, it's been a while since I was really involved in Smallville fandom. Who knows, these things come and go, Harry Potter and RL rear their heads, etc.

But when [livejournal.com profile] runpunkrun posted DVD commentary on "Interstitial," I was reminded of how frickin much I loved this fandom. And how much I love stories like "Interstitial" - silly, deep, flirty stories with happy endings. All of them set in the future of LexCorp and Reporter!Clark. Which got me thinking about this quote:

Everything reminded him of Clark's body. A glance out the window at the clear blue sky and he imagined peeling the skintight fabric off Clark before going down on him. He banned blue paper and ink at LuthorCorp in a memo titled "The Rules of Blue," then confused everyone further by painting his office that very shade.

That's from "The Rules of Blue" by Thamiris. Even after I had forgotten the title of that story, who wrote it, what it was mostly about, I still remembered that part. And now, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] e1egy, I have it bookmarked again!

This icon is way too angsty for this post, but I lurve it, so I wanted to use it.

Well, you know, it was such a pain to have to scan through all my bookmarks, and then I had to read the stories over again--just to make sure they were the right ones, of course. I hope you appreciate the sacrifices I make for you, my dear. *g*
