More snowy picspam -- this time with snowman!

I put on: my ugly heavy wooly sweater; wrist warmers; wooly over-the-knee socks; corduroy trousers; hiking boots; three scarves; woolen coat; fake russian hat. I trudged out and did battle in the park with some kids for territory, then I made a motherfucking snow man.

Actual conversation I had:

Little Girl: What are you doing?
Me: I'm making a snow man.
Little Boy: Why?
Me: Because it's fun!
Little Girl: Do you have a dog, or a kid?
Me: Buh... what?
Little Boy: Do you live alone?
Me: Um.

I have never in my life felt so *judged* by eight year olds.

My snowman has green bendy straws for antennae, and raisins for features, and six appendages. And four body segments.

As seen with troublesome yet adorable children hiding behind it.

Another angle.

After I came in (Mr. Smarty-Pants greeted me at the door, revealing that he'd been watching from the window the whole time) and took off all my soaked clothes, I made hot chocolate! The day is complete.

i did tell you about the time i was at that horrible tea lounge on park slope trying to do french homework and this adorable blonde pig tailed moppet came up to me and asked, "are you a mommy?" and i said "no" and she said, "are you a babysitter?" and i said, "no" and she looked perpeplexed because she couldn't think of anything else a woman sitting in that horrible tea lounge could possibly be. after a bit of hard thinking, she asked, "are you a friend?" and i said, "yes, that sounds fine to me." and then she ran away to where the rest of the nannies and mommies were.

Beautiful snowmonster. I want one. Lucky I'm in Norway.
