Someone on my floor has a sick child in their cube. I can hear him coughing this rattly, phlegmy, croupy cough.

Great idea! Your kid too sick for school? Bring him to work, and infect a whole new population!

ETA: OK, now I feel like a child (and parent) hater for being so cranky. She's a single mom, and her department is really overloaded right now and I don't really know what her options are (she clearly doesn't have many) so I should just shut up.

But if I start coughing like that I'll know who to blame, is all.
