What is the what in my butt
Jan. 7th, 2008 06:52 amSorry, it's 6:34 am. I have almost no self-restraint at this hour.
Also, here's why that's (sort of) funny.
So, what's going on with me, you might ask?
I'd be delighted to tell you all about it!
1) I'm up at 6 (okay, 6:30), drinking tea and eating a muffin in the hope that it will rejuvenate me enough to get me into the kitchen and making cookies, which I want to do this morning before I go to work, so I can send a bunch off in the mail to FRANCE, where my cousin is spending her senior year of high school. Her xmas gift FINALLY arrived, and I want to get it to her ASAP with some cookies and other random gifties.
2) Let me tell you about this muffin I am eating. Here is what is in it:
1.5 cups whole wheat flour
.5 cups oat bran
1 tablespoon baking powder
1.5 cups soy milk
.5 cups applesauce
.3 cups molasses
~.5 cups chopped walnuts, toasted
Cook for 15 mins @ 375, and bammo -- tasty muffins. Would have been even better with raisins, I think. But really, no complaints.
3) Let me tell you about me and fandom right now. I am reading fic in:
- Supernatural
- SGA, when someone I already love posts something
- That is all. The truth is, I'm not reading a lot of fic right now, nor am I doing much else fannish. I caught up on watching Supernatural eps over the Christmas holiday, but I still haven't seen the actual Christmas episode, nor have I seen the last three eps of Ugly Betty or the last, like, seven eps of SGA. Guys, I only watch three television shows, and apparently that is too much for me?!
However, LJ and fandom continue to do their important work keeping me sane and feeling connected to a larger community of like-minded geniuses. Even when I don't have headspace or time (as lately I clearly have not) to follow the twisting road of fannish details, I still love tuning in every morning -- okay, let's be honest, every fifteen minutes or so -- to see what's going on with you guys.
4) Okay, tea and muffin have had their chance, and failed, to perk me up. Time to put the apron on and slog through regardless, I think.
It's been real!
