my lunch, my lunch, my lovely lady lunch
Mar. 31st, 2008 12:55 pmDear Livejournal,
Today I am eating some lunch that I made last night, according to my habit
of making big batches of stuff on Sunday night and then eating it for
lunch the following week. This week it is red lentils Italian-style, which
is a recipe my mother put in the "family cookbook" she and my dad made for
me a few years back. I improved it by adding sauteed onions and garlic,
which, in my mind, improve pretty much everything except possibly ice
cream. It's just onions, garlic, red lentils, water or stock, fresh
rosemary, a can of diced tomatoes, and salt, pepper, and lemon juice to
taste. It's so easy, guys! And for some reason I feel really sophisticated
sitting here eating it at my desk. Go me.
Sincerely,
Priss
