I am here to tell you...

...That the 1995 Persuasion is not awesome. It is badly photographed, badly acted, and very, very badly written. This vexes me. I am most vexed! Badly vexed, even!

On the other hand, my Austen marathon continues most satisfactorily in the world of prose. I've finished Emma and am on to Mansfield Park. After that it's Northanger Abbey, but I'm seriously considering actually reading some of the gothic novels it mocks first, just to get the full effect.

Then I guess I'll have to reread Pride and Prejudice. Life is so hard.
