I loves me some Death Note

So yesterday I headed out with some peeps to watch the 1st and 2nd Death Note movies at the Japan Society. And... THEY WERE AWESOME, YO! I didn't dig Raito so much, but everyone else kicked me in the pants, and the script was really good. The changes that were made were mostly very smart ones.

And L was terrific. I heart L. And now I want him to be a little black dress of fannish crossovers. I'm thinking, L and the Winchester Boys! L and John McClane! L and Dana Scully! L and Fraser and Ray K! L and Batman!

It's an L jamboree in my brain and everyone's invited!

Okay, I'm kind of wondering why nobody's done this one, because now that you say it seems so obvious.

I think L love is forever, because it's been three years and I still adore that panda-eyed monkey. You know they're planning an L-centric spin-off movie, right?

I got into Death Note by watching the live action movies and am now halfway through the manga series and have downloaded a few eps and can't wait for the licensed anime to be released this fall and yes, L is my new TV Boyfriend ^TM.
