I eat of the cheese...
...but the cheese makes me cry.
Today I went out for lunch with one of my new coworkers. We went to a nice neighborhood Italian place and I had something that was described thusly:
"Baked penne with fontina and truffle oil"
In reality, this innocuous sounding dish was THE MOST DELICIOUS MACARONI AND CHEESE I HAVE EVER EATEN. I almost died of yum.
But then half an hour later I almost died of yuck! Here's the thing, kids: when you live with a vegan and eat vegan at home, unless you make a point of it to drink lots of milkshakes and eat lots of runny cheese and yoghurt when you're out during the day, you (meaning I) are probably going to get less adept at digesting our little friend lactose.
Lo, it is sad. So sad, in fact, that I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time I've made this TMI-errific complaint on LJ. So if I'm being repetitive, well, it's just because I will apparently never learn.
