A foot-related announcement.
This is going to be the summer I start shaving my legs regularly, wearing cute skirts, and trotting nimbly around in strappy sandals with high heels. I swear to god. The only reason I haven't done this in past summers is LAZINESS. Well, no more. To this end, I am going to schedule myself for a pedicure, and wear my new sandals on the first day above 60.
No more hiding my unpedicured and unsightly toes every day in chinese slippers. No more wearing trousers when I could be wearing cute skirts because I don't want to show my stubble to the world. I will either have hairless legs, or will shamelessly flaunt my hairy ones. But none of this hiding business this summer. And really, it's high time I learned to walk in heels like every other professional woman in New York.
In related news, I think I need to stop buying sandals now. Three pair in a week is plenty.
Also: Jack Aubrey and Steven Maturin do not have a very healthy relationship. They need to have angry, dirty, confused sex. That'll straighten them out. Heh. So to speak.
Also, I am on a diet. More on this later - much intense fulmination and self-examination is on its way. So far I have lost 5 pounds, taking me down to 135. My goal is 130.
Is it gauche to talk about this here? It is my LJ, so I guess I should feel entitled to talk about whatever I want. But somehow, I feel like if someone else posted something like this in their journal, it would not make me feel more friendly to them.
