Well, I'm *not* reading RPS slash. I'm sort of incoherently speculating about it, for the most part.

And yes, of course I know he's real. But I'm not generally a fan of RPS, although of course I have no problem with other people reading/writing it. It's simply not my bag. But right now I'm trying to figure out a context in which I could slash this sort of imaginary amalgam Anderson Cooper that I've made up in my brain without getting into potentially (for me) icky territory.

I failed to mention in my previous post that I don't actually own a tv and have never in fact seen this dude in action. I'm just sort of fascinated by his life story as told by the Internetz, which reads so much like a bad chick lit novel or Smallville AU that it's hard for me to think of it as real. In contrast to someone like Jon Stewart, who, for whatever irrational reason, has the "real" label firmly stapled to his forehead in my conception of him.

Not that you asked for this whole huge reply, but now that I've gotten going, I sort of want to make this explicit.

I figure this is probably all going to end in one of two ways: either I get over myself and learn to dig the RPS angle or I get over myself and realize that Anderson Cooper is, sadly, a real person, and thus probably not Pryss-friendly slash fodder.

Anyway, if this whole thing pisses you (and Mama Kent) off, feel free to skip further posts on it. I do own up to whatever hypocrisy or internal contradiction you might be noticing, however.
