hair update

I've dyed the front parts of my hair sky blue. I'm sitting here with my head wrapped in saran-wrap waiting. I usually try to leave it in as long as possible, for maximum staying power. Today I deviated from my usual PAINTBOX Fudge line to SPECIAL EFFECTS. We'll see how it goes...

Yay! I washed the dye out, but it's too early to tell what it's going to look like, 'cause it's still wet. I can't believe I didn't know about using toner before -- the "white" that they sell to blend with dark colors to make pastels. I can have lavender hair now! Whee! Or--OOH! Or SALMON!

i have been itching to try that myself! I may do it this week! Post some pics so we can see how it turned out!

No pics, unfortunately. But I can testify that the toner works really well. If I were doing it again, though, I'd probably use even more toner and even less dye (about four to one, maybe), for a true pastel.

Ahahaha. If you ever DO end up with salmon hair, I we need pictures in 360 degrees. That'll be AWESOME.
