First, you have to scroll up to get the whole story about this mounted cop riding his horse up onto the sidewalk outside a popular restaurant in Chelsea.

Second, let's take a moment to appreciate that this guy DISMOUNTED, and TOOK OFF HIS HORSE'S BRIDLE. That's... probably completely unprofessional, but also totally awesome. What a great way to cruise! "Hi, I'm Officer Joe Smith, and this is my great big white horse. Feel free to pet him and feed him carrots."

The crazy thing is, I think I've SEEN that horse, because I remember seeing a mounted cop on a HUGE white horse (17+ hands) a while back, and I know the Mounted Unit tries to stick to the various shades of brown for uniformity, so there can't be that many big ol' white horses in the Mounted...

Luuuurrrvely horse, but I can totally beat that. I once took Millie about half a mile down a motorway, and through the drive thru at McDonalds - then untacked her completely and let her eat on the picnic section while I stuffed my face.

Six weeks after she was ridden for the first time ever.

Although I don't have pictures :( So he wins on that score.
