bleh.

So I'm home sick today. That is because I am awesome. No, seriously. I have this theory that it's good to be a little sick every now and again or else your immune system gets lazy and distracted, and something really bad might get through. So I'm trying to be cheerful about this, but I'm tired and achy in my knees, and my throat hurts, and my head hurts, and I'm just generally down in the dumps, physically. And the copy of BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM that Netflix sent me arrived covered in grape juice and scratched up beyond all recognition but I tried to play it anyway, like 50 times, and now my DVD player is fucked up. GRAH!

But here are some things that are pretty much OK:

1. I still love Ugly Betty

2. I still love Startgate: Atlantis (but when is it coming back!? I'm starting to get antsy!)

3. I still love Mr. Smarty-Pants, who suggested that maybe I should just suck it up and go to work this morning -- and then looked shocked and guilty when I explained that I was taking a sick day *because I actually felt sick*.

4. Mr. Smarty-Pants lent me $20 on his way out the door so even though I have no cash of my own, I can still order a pizza, if it comes to that.

5. I've been reading a lot of Jeeves & Wooster fic. But I still haven't found anything to top "My Man Jeeves" by Sue. Do y'all have any recommendations for me? I'm HUNGRY FOR FIC. And I'll even read smut, which I know a lot of people balk at in this fandom.

6. I may take a nap.
