Clean is happy, apparently.

Check out possibly the best website for a sanitary appliance EVER.

THE WASHLET.

I'm sold! It will go so well with the no-touch trash can I desperately want (just wave your hand at it and the lid opens!).

I genuinely can't figure out if this is a parody or not.

I'm pretty sure it is a real thing! TOMO makes super-deluxe bottom-washing toilets in Japan, and my guess is this is their first foray into the US market. Having used one of those toilets in a Japanese restaurant, I FULLY ENDORSE this brand of, uh, cleanliness.

Oops, TOTO not TOMO.

I guess you didn't hear about the NYC minister who was protesting (I believe he was actually suing) because the company tried to put a billboard of the smiley bottoms up on the building his church is in. I was watching some morning news show last week and during the 6 am hour, they showed the ad, but in the 7 am hour, they blurred the cracks. Of course, they still showed a picture of what was essentially some fuzzy blobs. Because THAT was illustrative.

OMG! I didn't hear about that -- how funny! It's too bad he was protesting. I think if I had a church I'd definitely want happy bottoms near it.

Dude, I KNOW someone who has one of these.

We mocked him fiercely when he announced he was getting one. But he says we don't know what we're missing. Every time I see a Toto brand toilet getting cited, and they do get cited, as high-end fixtures in a "luxury" development, I think of him.

I didn't realize Toto had gotten so big in the US! An encouraging sign!
