1) Ugly Betty
Did anyone else get a happy little "yay" moment when they actually played that song from High School Musical during that scene? AWESOME.

2) Moby Dick
Still loving it. I love how Melville switches genres to match his content -- I love how fluid it feels. Post-modern! (Except, what does that really mean?)

3) High School Musical II
I downloaded the song about baseball and dancing, and it's the gayest thing ever. octette, were you the one talking about this on my flist? You are so right. I love how Ryan isn't really *coded* as gay at this point -- they're pretty much just open about it. Love the multiple meanings employed of "swing" -- viz, "That's how I swing", meaning, that's my equivalent of swinging a baseball bat; that's how I work; that's how I swing-dance; that's my sexuality. I have got to see this movie.

i liked when mark and amanda got attracted to henry. even though i find henry boring now.

also, high school musical 2 is seriously one of the most terrible things i have ever seen, made even worse by the fact that high school musical 1 was one of the most awesome things i have ever seen.

but yes, the baseball dance was amahzing.
