I'm guessing I'm not as down on this episode as a lot of folks; I mostly enjoyed it besides some tiresome and obvious writing, mostly (unfortunately) written for Jared P., who generally sells bad writing the least effectively of anyone on that show.
I loved loved loved Castiel's "Hey, Ass Butt!", LOVED LOVED LOVED the "Epic love story of Sam n Dean" montage, and I was pathetically glad that both Castiel and Bobby made it through. I guess the rules are different for the men that get killed off on this show. The women seem to stay dead. (Damn it.)
Speaking of which... not that I care that deeply about Lisa and Ben, but it's going to suck for them when they inevitably fall victim to the horror parade of that aforementioned epic love story.
And let's be clear: this is a massively unfair situation for Lisa, who invites an old flame back into her life, only (I'm guessing) to find herself living with a shattered shell of a man who earnestly (but probably not very successfully) is doing his best to pretend he's there for any reason other than to tick out the remaining years of his life in the place his brother--the one he really loves--assigned him to.
