Photos herein of my fridge and my spice... area (not quite a rack).

For [livejournal.com profile] rossetti, my fridge.

In case you couldn't tell, we keep vegan at home.

Those stuffed grape leaves at the lower left have been there since I moved in. I'm scared of them.

We eat a lot of oatmeal. And a lot of nuts.

For [livejournal.com profile] alg, my spice rack. Or, as it happens, spice shelf in the little pantry cabinet next to the fridge. Yes, our spices are labeled and alphabetized.

(1) Italian honey! Silly girl. Don't you know that the only real honey is New Zealand honey?

(2) How is the inside of your refrigerator so TIDY?? *is envious*

Actually, my new favorite honey is Manhattan honey, purchased at the Union Square green market! ("This honey came from west 86th street," the guy told me when I bought linden honey for my mom.)

I'm kinda (read: VERY) anal about the fridge -- the OJ goes on the RIGHT, the beer goes on the LEFT. Yeah, I don't know.

OMG, how do you live with so few condiments! You've seen my fridge, right? It's where condiments go to BREED. And, yet, somehow, we use them all.

Nuts! Yay nuts. Also - your 'spice area' ROCKS. I love the weird little shelf in our kitchen that we use for spices, but it is a) far from the stove and b) not even close to alphabetized. The closest thing I have is a sweet/savory/salt and pepper type division.

Also - mmmm, Odwalla carrot.

:) There are condiments hidden from view! Many jars of jam and some chutney and some miso, all at the back of the bottom shelf!

I frickin' love that carrot juice. Even tho its so gorram expensive.

It's so fun looking at people kitchens, don't you agree?

I wish *I* had groceries. Right now I have an egg and a pear and some flour. Mmm, flour.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who leaves things in my fridge that should have been thrown away just because I'm scared to touch them.

All you need is some sugar and you could make yourself a tiny little pear kuchen!
